About Hear & See America, Inc.
Hear and See America, Inc. began as an idea of writer/photographer Emory Jones, of Cleveland, GA. Emory wanted to tell people more about what they were seeing as they traveled through an area, things that they couldn't see and stories about people and things that happen and happened in those areas. Over lunch he pitched the idea to a friend with radio and marketing experience, Paul Veen of Cleveland. The ideas just flowed from there and the company Hear & See America was formed. Emory worked to research and write the first Georgia I-75 Edition while all the necessary business things were put into place. Georgia radio personality, Ludlow Porch, was approached to narrate the Edition and he jumped on board. After many hours of recording and production the first Hear & See America Audio Series - the Georgia I-75 Edition was introduced in October of 2008. It has been well received and makes a great gift for the consummate traveler, but also for people who can't or don't have the opportunity to travel. It can be listened to in segments, started or stopped anywhere, and of course it will travel with you from Tennessee to Florida and back. It consists of 8 CD's and a 36 page illustrated reference guidebook. A downloadable version is also available.
In October of 2009 some changes were made in the corporate structure of Hear & See America, Inc.. Paul Veen purchased the company and has involved family in moving it ahead into the next stages of growth. Paul's wife, Mary, serves as Vice President and his daughter, Sheila, in the position of Secretary. Mary's daughter, Rachel, serves as the Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer. Other family members are involved in research and development.
